  • Are the Love-less Bunyip and Cupid now available at all times because they don't seem to be going away in my game.

  • I think this Wiki should have pages for decorations in TC in which TC Wiki doesn't have yet. I created the page for the Wyrold tree last year and no one has an image of it. I created pages for a few Halloween 2014 decorations last year by using a Photoshop-like app on my iPad. It is called Background Eraser Free. I removed the background to make transparent images of decorations.

  • So it seems both TinyCastle and Monsters are well and truly dead. I, personally, haven't run the apps in months, but from the (lack of) updates I've seen, it seems rather definite.

So what about the wikis? I'm thinking a banner on the main page, and other pages that may be pertainant, making mention of the lack of updates, support, etc.

    • Indeed, these Apps are gone for good. It's a shame, and I've been dreading the inevitable discontinuation of updates and activity on the Wikis.

I have been considering exactly what you've just suggested for a few weeks now, actually. There should definitely be banners on the Main Pages of both Wikis (I think it should be similar to the "Currently Expired Monster" banners on the Limited TinyMonster pages -- like this: http://tinymonsters.wikia.com/wiki/Independence_Monster ) announcing the discontinuation of these games. Do you know how to create banners/boxes like that? I'm not sure how to go about making them. . .

    • Yeah, they're fairly easy to make. I'll see if I can get it in the next few days.

Have you find other games/wikis to fill your time? Personally, I've been spending a lot of time on the Destiny wiki, helping out with edits and such.

    • Too bad we have to report such sad news. A lot of players, including myself, are going to really miss these games. I can’t believe TinyCo just dumped them like that without any notice (other than cutting off support completely). . . I’m glad I never spent any money on in-app purchases for these games.

I’m also going to miss all the kindhearted, friendly users and admins who visited these Wikis and helped contribute. I’ve visited a lot of Wikis, the TinyCastle and TinyMonsters Wikis are probably the only Wiki sites that I have not been bullied on. I appreciate and value the friendships I made here with you, Wolbee, and other kind and helpful users, such as Lawren and CoralNixie6120.

I'm glad you found another Wiki to contribute to. I am currently playing other Pocket Pet apps, such as Dragon City and Dragon Mania Legends.

But I still always keep an eye out for the TinyCastle and TinyMonsters Wikis, even if they won’t be very active due to the abandonment of the games.

  • As I posted before my game hasn't received any new content since Cupid was reintroduced, so I wanted to know if the game was still being supported? Thank you for your time and effort to help me.

    • Hello,

I do not know for certain what TinyCo is planning, but so far, it appears that TinyCo has indeed abandoned this game. They have not introduced any new Creatures or new content since December 11th, 2014, they have not released an actual update since October 2nd, 2013, and they no longer offer support. In fact, the last time I checked, the TinyCo support site has been completely shut down. I have also heard that players can no longer purchase Gems on the Android version of the App.

(Also, on a side note, TinyMonsters has also not been updated in ages. Seems like that game has been abandoned as well.)

As you know, they've released the old Valentines critters on both games for some strange reason, but alas, nothing new. . .

I think it is safe to say that this game is no longer being supported. This is indeed very sad. I really enjoyed the game. It will be missed by many players. :(

  • Although I am interested in the name "Quetzalcoatl", which reminds me of the feathered serpent...

I'm quite very curious about Quetzalcoatl from TinyCastle who is based on the shape-shifting god who turns into a flying serpent. I've learned in Aztec mythology that Quetzalcoatl is a deity who takes the form of a feathered serpent, which I think it's a dragon/serpent hybrid. According to Wikipedia, Quetzalcoatl's serpent form looks much like a dragon. So I think Quetzalcoatl looks like a dragon in my opinion and I his feathered serpent form is actually a dragon...

    • Hello, Lawren. :)

I agree with you. The Quetzalcoatl of mythology and the TC critter both definitely possess draconic traits in addition to snakelike traits. TinyCasle's version is distinctly draconic.

Indeed, the legendary monster is described as a "winged-serpent" and even though the word "serpent" mostly refers to snakes, dragons are actually sometimes referred to as serpents as well (particularly long-bodied dragons). Some other types of dragons have feathered wings as well. Some dragons are even completely covered in feathers -- of course, this is my own personal reasearch.

I love dragons (benevolent dragons, that is), and I actually believe in them. Some people might laugh at me, but I think they exist in an alternate realm -- that is, the Spirit World. There are good and evil dragons, just like there are angels and demons. The good dragons are beautiful, wise creatures that breathe white-hot flames, while the evil dragons are ugly and vicious and breathe toxic miasmas and cold "black flames" -- more of my own research. I could talk about dragons forever. :)

  • Excuse me can you help me. I cannot seem to summon a pegasus even though I have tried 15 times and it just summons a griffin every time is this a glitch?

  • Since no clear full body image of the teen and adult lamassu standing in a clear position is on the wiki, I've uploaded these images via iPad by taking a screenshot.

    Teen La

    Teen lamassu

    Adult La

    Adult lamassu

Sorry, I don't know how to remove the background without using PhotoShop (the magic eraser). I hope you can remove the background to get this creature added to CreatureBox on the lamassu page.

  • Thanks for the answer on leprechaun breed rate. Was beginning to feel like I was working for something impossible, rather then just insanely rare.

  • Why does the roane look like a male selkie and a selkie like a female roane? They are the same types. Wonder if they are relatives like the centaur and Pegasus...

      Loading editor
    • Hello,

Yes, I would say the Selkie and Roane of Tiny Castle are definitely related. They are based on legendary creatures similar to mermaids.

You see, both “Selkie” and “Roane” are names used to describe the Irish and Scottish mythological creatures depicted as being human-seal shapeshifters (or you could think of them as part human, and part seal). According to the legends, they are in the form of seals when in the water, and they transform into humans when on land; they can be male or female – even Selkies can be male. So, the Selkie and Roane are essentially the same creature, but TinyCo created their own version of this legendary creature for Tiny Castle and named the Creatures differently to include both genders (since every Creature in the game has as specific gender based on its species).

Also, I was thinking, the “Pegasus” of Tiny Castle is actually a Centauress – a female Centaur. A “Pegasus” is described as a divine winged horse (originally based on the Pegasus of Greek Mythology). But in Tiny Castle, all of the Creatures (with the exception of the Unicorn) seem to be anthropomorphic in form. I wish TinyCo would rename the Pegasus “Centauress” and add a real Pegasus (a non-anthropomorphic winged horse) to the game to complement the Unicorn.

    • Yeah. Thats what I thought. I always called it a Pegascentaur. And I agree with the adding a true Pegasus. I have a few Pegasi in storage at level 14. Pretty insane. I also have like 8 garden nymphs in storage!

    • When I said pegasi I meant the centauresses.
