Since I filled out the quotes, evolution, and healing time for the new critter Asrai, I checked the data. The Asrai has the same data as the current data as Triton. I can't fill out the food, stats, and coin rates, because the tables can only be edited by administrators. Can you fill out the food, stats, and coin rates, please if you have a chance?
I've been trying to add in the data for the Green Dragon's new Black and Gold forms in the Evoboxes that I made for the page, but for some reason the Level column that organizes the levels/food/attack/etc into rows will not show up in the evoboxes (compare to the Mythic Griffin's evobox). I have created Evoboxes before and have not had this issue, but I think it might have something to do with the fact that the Green Dragon evoboxes are boxes for more than one form (like the Sylph form evoboxes), unlike the single Mythic boxes. Could you look into this whenever you get a chance?
Well, the simple reasoning is because they're changing the rules. Means I'll have to get more creative with the coding.
See, CreatureEvoBox actually hands off control to either CreatureEvoBox2 (for the evolutions of Sylph which only have one level) or MythicEvoBox (for the mythic forms which span multiple levels). This seems to be more a mythic form of the Green Dragon, but is not called that, and has multiple forms. It actually blends the attributes of evolutions and mythic, so I have to expand the logic in CreatureEvoBox to handle it.
Perhaps I can do that today, but I'm writing this near 1am, so I need some sleep first.
I see. I knew it might have something to do with the Mythic evolution boxes vs the Multiple evolution boxes (e.g. for the Sylph forms which only have one level).
Seems like the coding for the evoboxes is pretty complicated, but I did my best to figure out the problem. I can figure out the basic wiki coding for certain things, but I'm not so experienced when it comes to complicated coding like this, so thank you for explaining the problem.
When you come up with a way to fix this, could you teach me how to create the proper evoboxes when needed for such situations as the multi-formed Green Dragon? I would very much appreciate it, as I want to be as helpful as possible.
Thank you for all your help, and all that you do to improve and maintain the Wiki. :)
I've done my magic. Sylph, Green Dragon, and Griffin display as they should.
What I did is add another test, in the form of Template:CreatureEvoStub, to see if the food variable has a ~ in it. If it does, it passes it to the MythicEvoBox, which has the logic for splitting up and displaying those lines correctly.
In the long run, you don't need to change anything. still use CreatureEvoBox and the templates will take care of the rest. Until they change the rules again, of course.
Just a reminder: Whenever you get a chance, could you get and fill in the data for the new Nyx Creature? (I got all of her images uploaded and the phrases filled in, but I got too excited and evolved and fed my Nyx so fast that I forgot to make note of the Lv 1-10 stats. . .)
I am sorry to report that I cannot upload images of the new Mythic Cyno and Mythic Mermaid. I would be uploading them right now, as I currently have both new evolutions; but they both came out invisible in my game when I evolved them (I am using an iOS device). Their graphics will not load. I feel as if I have completely wasted my Gems to retry for phantom Creatures. . . I just sent in a bug report, but I doubt TinyCo will respond -- they have been ignoring my Creature voice bug reports for the past few weeks.
I guess there is nothing I can do but wait until TinyCo fixes the bug. . . They are so incompetent it makes me sick. I wish they would test out their new Creatures and make sure they have the correct voices and properly loaded graphics before they rush them out.
Do you know if Android devices are experiencing the same glitch?
I really haven't been playing much since they've also been ignoring my supportt ticket for moving my game over to my new phone. A ticket that I put in over a month ago. I don't want to carry around my old phone (which is now only usable on wifi) just to play TC.
If I had a problem like that, I'd clear the data for the app. On Android, it removes all of the image/sound/animation files and forces them to be re-downloaded. It can be done without harm on Android, but I don't know what it does with iOS devices.
I'm not sure if (or how) I can do that on an iOS device. . . I think the only way would be to completely delete the App and re-install it; that would force it to delete all the data, and then re-download it once I re-install the App. But I'm worried I'll lose all my hard-earned data if I delete the App. TinyCo games are not so easy to transfer and re-download without risking data-loss, unfortunately (at least on the iOS). I wish TinyCo games were linked up to the iOS Game Center -- like DragonVale.
Good news -- the invisible Creature glitch has been fixed. I uploaded the images of the Mythic Cyno and Mythic Mermaid, created Mythic Evolution boxes for them, and filled in all the data I could for Lv 15. Whenever you get a chance, could you fill in the rest of the data?
Aye, I just saw your update to the data. I'm kinda out-and-about today, so I'll probably get to the data tonight.
I'd like to make a more portable means of reading that data in the near future, for both here and Tiny Monsters. I've taken one baby-step toward it, so I need to pull away from the videogames and get back to coding.
Oh, and just a reminder -- I recently noticed that the Green Dragon's page was not yet filled in. I was feeding and evolving mine rather quickly in order to get the images uploaded and I forgot to make note of the data. . . Whenever you get a chance, could you fill in the Green Dragon's data (Food, Earning Rates, and Battle Stats)?
I've added Evolution Boxes and filled in some data for the new Mythic Evolutions of the Phoenix and Griffin. I've already uploaded the images, but I don't have all of the data yet, so most of the box is blank (food amounts, heal times, etc).
Also, leaving the "healtime" box empty caused an error to show up, so I filled it in with "1 Hour" temporarily -- I do not know how long they take to heal yet.
Whenever you get a chance, could you fill in the rest of the data for the new Mythics?
Shows just fine to me, especially since I haven't started deleting yet. Occasionally the server gets into a weird state and won't display a file. To help this try doing a forced refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R in Chrome, but exists in other browsers) or even removing your cache.
I am th admin for this fan site, but not for the game itself. For that, you would want to contact TinyCo directly at http://support.tinyco.com/
But a few words of advice about the creatures. Combining the elements will not guarantee one of the new creatures. Each creature has a percentage chance to be hatch based on the elements used, and that percentage is only know to the creators of the game. we can just suggest which creatures to use in the combination, but you need patience and persistance to get it.
I saw one of your other posts about Tiny Monsters, and I'm sorry to hear it's not available for you. What type of device are you using - iPhone/iPad, Android phone/tablet, or Kindle Fire?
